The bottom line... we are a group of people just like you who have chosen to follow Jesus despite our faults and failures. We don't see ourselves as any better than anyone else, and we understand that our truths and convictions may not yet be others' truths and convictions. We have, however, learned that we belong together as we become true disciples of Christ and believe the gospel of Jesus!

New Prospect Baptist Church was first founded in 1886, and has had multiple rebirths over the years. Most recently, Pastor Christopher Alexander came in 2018 and immediately started shifting the church paradigms to a Jesus-led, people-focused, all-of-life discipleship process.

We always want a grand answer to this question! The truth, however, is very simple... We are headed where every true disciple should be, into the footsteps of Jesus! We are marching forward into the life he has called us to, a life spent living Life on Life, Life in Community, and Life on Mission with the people Jesus has put in our path!

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at NPBC. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of our family. Also, in order to live this life, Life on Life, Life in Community, and Life on Mission, we hope that you will join a Life Group at NPBC and begin seeing Church in a different light - not just a place to go or a people to know, but an All-of-Life existence where we truly become a family of missionary servants sent on mission for even the "least of these."
